Amber Kampot Project Updates
As of the end of June, the base work (including sand columns, formwork and drainage) has been completed. Currently pile driving, setting out grid line of villa, concrete formwork, as well as reinforcement work has been started.
The last 4 weeks have been busy here in Kampot. BSN hit the ground running, with sand columns being injected, trees being transplanted and steel pipes in construction. Bulldozers, trucks and cranes have arrived… for the meanwhile at least!
Kampot’s new clean water supply system also opened on April 2nd, and was funded thanks to a grant from the Japanese government. The plant will connect 13,000 additional families to the province’s potable water network and produce 7,500 cubic metres of water a day – matching demand for clean water in the area.
To celebrate breaking ground and the launch of investment opportunities being open to the public, we hosted an event at The Plantation, in Phnom Penh. A beautiful hotel also managed by our partners at MAADS. A video reel of the event can be seen here.
We are pleased to share that we have signed a sales partnership agreement with Sotheby’s International Realty (run by Sotheby’s International) – the most prestigious international auction house in the world – in order to present our investment opportunities to the European market. We also partner with CBRE – the real estate investment and agent firm listed in the New York Stock Exchange – for our Cambodia based sales drive. CBRE is organizing the AMBER KAMPOT sales launch event on 15th of March, 2019 in Phnom Penh.
After over a year of planning, designing and scheduling, construction has begun! Local Cambodian authorities started building the access road to our resort this month, meaning that very soon we will break ground on the Amber Kampot resort.
Unfortunately, we can’t all rely on the peaceful boat ride across the river to arrive at Amber (although the landing dock is dreamy)! This access road is going to be a lifesaver for our construction team, and eventually the hotel’s distributors and even guests out for a bike ride through the amazing surrounding landscapes.
As predicted, Kampot is growing faster and faster. Tourism is constantly increasing, leading to more press coverage than ever.
